My timer consists of a circuit board (40*60mm) in a 3D printed box, secured to the top assembly of the Classic from the inside. This is powered by a 12V DC PSU, which is also included in the kit (so it makes sense to pair it with an LED strip above the water reservoir, allowing better insight of the water level). The PSU is tapped into the switched mains, so the timer will only turn on, when the machine does. The signal is piggybacked from the solenoid valve. All wiring complies with factory safety standards. The display is connected to the circuit board via a ribbon cable and attached to the chassis with a double sided tape.
When you turn the machine on, the timer display shows a warm-up timer (minutes without a decimal point), allowing to adjust the prep work to the preferred warm-up duration conveniently.
Whenever you start the pump it will start to count automatically (seconds in 1 decimal point accuracy).
When you stop the pump the display will freeze with the latest time on, until you start your pump again or power your machine down.
The installation should take around 1 hour and is fully covered in a video installation guide – I provide you with, once the kit has arrived.
